Start with the default settings and customise your tags when you need more control.

Create and organise

• Free to use: start with 25 QR codes and earn more through invitations.
• Categories and filters: organise tags into groups, sort the tag list and filter for encrypted tags. Unlock encrypted tags directly in the list.
• Search: find unlocked encrypted information in the current tag or event view. Locked encrypted information and encrypted content on other pages are not searched. Event search also finds unencrypted email and contact information across all events.
• Pictures: add images to help identify tagged items.
• Print and download: create customised PDFs for printing tags or download QR codes as a ZIP file.

Posts and notifications

• Notifications: receive email alerts for tag scans, new posts and activity involving lost or stolen items. Browser push notifications are also available.
• Location: include GPS coordinates with posts and events.
• Post and log limits: choose how long posts stay visible, how many are shown and how much event history to keep.
• Posting controls: enable captcha protection or review posts before they appear.

Privacy and security

• Access controls: choose who can view your tags and post information.
• Encrypted tags: encrypt tag names, tag details and posted text, email and location in the browser. Anyone with the full tag link or password can read the encrypted content. Notifications identify encrypted tags by number. Account identity, event type and time remain unencrypted.
• Change encryption: switch an existing tag between encrypted and unencrypted in Edit, including its remaining events and image, provided all events outside the trash belong to you. Optionally change the tag ID at the same time. See conversion instructions and precautions.
• Optional email recovery: enable this when saving an encrypted post to find and delete it later through an email verification link. A protected email fingerprint is stored separately; reading the content still requires the tag password.
• Account security: use two-step verification with Google Authenticator and choose whether to stay signed in on trusted browsers.

Local data and encrypted sync

• Handle local data: manage saved tag passwords and local contact details. Browser copies are encrypted with an account-specific key and kept separate for each account. Export and import backups when needed; exported files contain readable passwords and contact details, so keep them private.
• Encrypted vault: sync saved tag passwords and local contact details between devices using a separate vault password. Choose manual sync or automatic sync for eight hours in the current tab, including page reloads. On a private device, choose automatic sync for up to 30 days while your login remains valid; this reduces the protection of the separate vault password. Keep the vault recovery key somewhere safe outside the browser.
• Local contact details: choose to store your personal contact details only locally in Account. Saving this option removes those fields from your account on the server; a padlock marks the fields. This option is suitable only if you use encrypted tags. Your sign-in email remains on the server, and details already copied into tags are not removed.
• Owner information: use local contact details when creating encrypted tags or filling their printed contact information. The tag list flags missing or different owner information once a tag is unlocked. Update individual tags directly or sync all unlocked tags that need updating in the current view.
• Change the local key: re-encrypt this browser’s saved data with a new account key. Other devices then need to restore their local data from a backup or sync with the vault.
